While I don't remember that homer from Longo specifically, that 2008 season was certainly a special one, as he went on to win the AL Rookie of the Year Award, leading my Tampa Bay Rays to the World Series! I got to see them beat the Red Sox in the ALCS-clinching game in which David Price got the only save in his MLB career. (I caught the final three innings, after driving over from Tampa, after the Bucs retired Mike Alstott's jersey at halftime vs. Seattle of a Sunday Night Football game.
