Monday, 8/12
8/12/1993: Tim Raines led things off with a home run for the White Sox. It was his 2,000th career hit.
8/12/2015: Miguel Sano visits the third deck at Target Field.
8/12/2018: David Bote hit a pinch-hit walk-off grand slam for the Cubs.
Tuesday, 8/13
8/13/2006: During an 11-run inning, Travis Hafner tied Don Mattingly’s MLB record with his sixth grand slam of the season.
8/13/2003: Mike Piazza hit a go-ahead homer for the Mets.
8/13/2005: Bernie Williams hit an 11th-inning walk-off homer to beat the Rangers.
Wednesday, 8/14
8/14/2008: Jim Thome, Paul Konerko, Alexei Ramirez, and Juan Uribe hit four homers in a row during the sixth inning, making the White Sox the sixth team to accomplish such a feat.
8/14/1987: Mark McGwire became MLB’s rookie home run king by slugging his 39th homer.
8/14/2008: Mark Kotsay hit for the cycle with the Braves.
Thursday, 8/15
8/15/2011: Jim Thome entered this game with 598 career home runs. He left the ballpark as the latest slugger to enter the 600-homer club.
8/15/2011: Delmon Young homered in his first at-bat with the Tigers.
8/15/1995: Kirby Puckett capped a Twins comeback with a walk-off home run.
Friday, 8/16
8/16/2020: Almost 12 years to the day they last did it, the White Sox hit four straight homers. Yoan Moncada, Yasmani Grandal, Jose Abreu, and Eloy Jimenez did the damage.
8/16/1996: Greg Vaughn hit a grand slam while playing the Mets in Mexico.
8/16/1987: Tim Raines hit for the cycle as a member of the Expos.
Saturday, 8/17
8/17/2002: Barry Bonds completely shattered his bat, but he still slugged this home run vs. the Marlins.
8/17/1996: Barry Larkin hit his first career home run.
8/17/2004: Mark Teixeira became the second Rangers player ever to hit for the cycle.
Sunday, 8/18
8/18/2007: In addition to tossing seven innings to earn the win on the mound, Micah Ownings enjoyed a four-hit day at the dish. His performance included a single, double, two homers, six RBI, and four runs scored.
8/18/1999: Larry Walker enjoyed a two-homer day for the Rockies.
8/18/2017: Manny Machado’s three-homer day ended with a walk-off grand slam.

The San Diego Padres have the lowest total for any MLB team’s all-time home run king. Nate Colbert is the current record holder with 163 homers for the Friars.
