9/9/1997: Ray Lankford hit his 27th homer of the year. He’d finish with 31.
9/9/2013: Juan Uribe enjoyed a three-homer day for the Dodgers.
Tuesday, 9/10
9/10/2014: Andrew McCutchen hit an inside-the-park home run and didn’t even need to get his uniform dirty.
9/10/1975: Dave Kingman hit two homers for the Mets. He finished his year with 36 homers and 88 RBI.
9/10/1999: Chili Davis spoiled a Pedro Martinez no-hitter with a solo homer.

9/11/2013: Jose Fernandez slugged his first career MLB home run, and the Braves didn’t like it one bit.
9/11/1997: John Olerud recorded his first career cycle.
9/11/2015: As part of his ridiculous run down the stretch with the Mets, Yoenis Cespedes extended the Mets’ ninth-inning lead with a two-run homer.

9/12/2015: David Ortiz enjoyed a multi-homer game while also becoming the 27th member of the 500-homer club.
9/12/2015: Jose Bautista enjoyed a two-homer day at Yankee Stadium.
9/12/2016: Brian Dozier became the first Twins player not named Harmon Killebrew to reach the 40-homer plateau.

9/13/1971 Frank Robinson hit his 500th career home run. His 586 taters still rank 10th all-time in MLB history.
9/13/1996: Mark Whiten turned the swag up out of the box after hitting this grand slam.
9/13/1997: Carl Everett hit a game-tying grand slam for the Mets in the ninth inning.
Saturday, 9/14
9/14/1990: Ken Griffey Sr. and Jr. hit back-to-back home runs to become the first father-son combo to go deep in the same game.
9/14/1987: The Blue Jays set an MLB record by hitting 10 home runs in one game.
9/14/2005: Andruw Jones became the first player in Braves history to reach the 50-homer plateau.
Sunday, 9/15
9/15/2011: Pablo Sandoval did a little bit of everything at the plate on this night at Coors Field as he hit for the cycle.
9/15/2012: Carlos Lee hit the 358th and final home run of his big-league career.
9/15/2015: Alex Rios homered for the Royals and a Progressive Field employee mistakenly set off fireworks to celebrate.
