10/1/2014: Brandon Crawford became the first shortstop to slug a postseason grand slam.
10/1/2020: Luis Robert Jr.’s first postseason home run traveled 487 feet.
Wednesday, 10/2
10/2/2004: Steve Finley’s walk-off grand slam against the Giants helped the Dodgers clinch the NL West title.
10/2/2009: B.J. Upton became the first Rays player to hit for the cycle.
10/2/2014: Victor and J.D. Martinez became the second pair of players with the same last name to hit back-to-back homers in postseason history.
Thursday, 10/3
10/3/1951: Bobby Thomson sent the Dodgers home packing with the Shot Heard ‘Round the World to win the pennant for the Giants. A+ call in the booth, too.
10/3/1995: Ruben Sierra’s ALDS Game 1 homer for the Yankees was swagalicious.
10/3/1999: Greg Vaughn hit his 45th homer of the year. That gave him 95 total dingers between 1998 and 1999.
Friday, 10/4
10/4/2001: Barry Bonds slugged his 70th home run of the year to tie Mark McGwire for the single-season record.
10/4/1986: Greg Gagne used the Metrodome to his advantage and hit two inside-the-park homers.
10/4/2002: Ray Durham led off ALDS Game 3 with an inside-the-park home run. It was followed by a Scott Hatteberg dinger.
Saturday, 10/5
10/5/2007: Manny Ramirez gave the Red Sox a walk-off win in ALDS Game 2 with this monster three-run shot.
10/5/1977: Dusty Baker slugged a grand slam for the Dodgers during NLCS Game 2.
10/5/2008: Jimmy Rollins led off NLDS Game 4 with a home run for the Phillies.
Sunday, 10/6
10/6/1978: George Brett joined an exclusive postseason home run club by slugging three taters during ALCS Game 3.
10/6/1995: Bernie Williams became the first player in postseason history to hit a homer from both sides of the plate. He did it during Game 3 of the ALDS.
10/6/1984: Steve Garvey hit the first postseason walk-off homer in Padres history.
