Monday, 5/12
5/12/2015: Giancarlo Stanton absolutely crushed this ball an estimated 475 feet for the Marlins, and it completely left Dodger Stadium.
5/12/2017: Buster Posey put an end to this 17-inning marathon by hitting a walk-off homer for the Giants.
5/12/1999: Jay Bell tied things up for the DBacks against the Expos with a ninth-inning home run. This was part of a five-run frame that gave Arizona the victory.
Tuesday, 5/13
5/13/2006: Jose Bautista slugged his first of 344 career MLB home runs. He hit 16 dingers with 51 RBI in 117 games for the Pirates in ’06.
5/13/2000: Ken Griffey Jr. helped push the Reds past the Astros with a homer in the eighth inning, followed by a go-ahead homer in the ninth.
5/13/2022: Jose Altuve gave the Astros a quick lead by hitting a home run on the first pitch of Houston’s game against the Nationals.
Wednesday, 5/14
5/14/2004: Chone Figgins hit his first MLB home run, which just so happened to be a grand slam. This was part of a five-hit, six-RBI night at Camden Yards.
5/14/2006: While using a pink bat on Mother’s Day (and his mom in the stands), Bill Hall sent fans Brewers fans home happy with this walk-off home run. He finished the year with a career-high 35 homers.
5/14/2012: At 19 years and 211 days old, Bryce Harper became the first teenager to hit a home run in Expos/Nationals history.
Thursday, 5/15
5/15/1999: Rookie outfielder Carlos Beltran slugged this go-ahead three-run homer for the Royals.
5/15/2019: Austin Riley kicked off his MLB career by hitting this homer for the Braves in his debut.
5/15/2016: Ryan Zimmerman hit his first career inside-the-park home run, but it was accompanied by a scary collision in the outfield between Giancarlo Stanton and Marcell Ozuna.
Friday, 5/16
5/16/2008: Jayson Werth enjoyed a three-homer game for the Phillies, and he was a two-run dinger short of completing the home run cycle.
5/16/2006: Jorge Posada capped a nine-run comeback by the Yankees with this walk-off homer.
5/16/2000: Rondell White took Randy Johnson deep north of the border to give the Expos a lead.
Saturday, 5/17
5/17/2002: Jason Giambi got his first signature Yankees moment. After the Twins took a 14th-inning lead, he slugged a walk-off homer in the bottom of the frame.
5/17/1996: Chris Hoiles stepped to the plate in the bottom of the ninth with two out and the bases loaded. On a full count, he slugged a walk-off grand slam to help the Orioles win, 14-13.
5/17/2011: After tying the game with a pinch-hit homer in the ninth, Brian McCann went deep again in the 11th to give the Braves a victory.
Sunday, 5/18
5/18/1999: The Mariners blew out the Twins by a score of 10-1, and Edgar Martinez contributed by slugging three homers.
5/18/2014: Victor Martinez hit his 10th homer of the year for the Tigers. At this moment, he had more homers on the season (10) than strikeouts (9).
5/18/1999: Luis Gonzalez extended his franchise record hitting streak to 30 games by hitting this home run.
