9/24/2005: Andruw Jones hit his 51st and final home run of the season for Atlanta.

9/25/2003: Carlos Delgado enjoyed hitting his 300th career home run so much that he slugged three more to become the 15th player to hit four dingers in one game.
9/25/1998: Ken Griffey Jr.’s 350th career home run was a vintage blast.
9/25/2007: Prince Fielder became the first Brewers hitter to reach 50 homers in a season.

9/26/2016: After beginning his at-bat right-handed to honor the late Jose Fernandez, Dee Strange-Gordon launched a leadoff home run and had a very emotional trip around the bases.
9/26/1961: Roger Maris tied Babe Ruth by hitting his 60th home run of the season.
9/26/1997: Mike Piazza hit an absolute tank at Coors Field, traveling an estimated 496 feet.

9/27/2001: In the Cubs’ first game at Wrigley Field since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Sammy Sosa ran out to the outfield waving the American flag. He also took it around the bases after slugging his 59th homer.
9/27/1998: Mark McGwire finished his historic season with a two-homer performance to reach 70.
9/27/1987: Andre Dawson hit the 47th home run of his NL MVP Award campaign for the Cubs.

9/28/2011: Evan Longoria hit a walk-off home run against the Yankees to clinch the AL Wild Card and a trip to October for the Rays.
9/28/2004: Vladimir Guerrero Sr.’s four-hit, five-RBI performance included two home runs.
9/28/1996: Ellis Burks hit his 40th homer of the season for the Rockies.

9/29/1987: Don Mattingly set an MLB record by slugging his sixth grand slam of the season. He finished seventh in AL MVP voting that year with a .939 OPS, 30 homers, 115 RBI, and a Gold Glove.
9/29/2019: The Twins finish the year with an MLB-record 307 home runs as a team.
9/29/2001: Miguel Tejada hit for the cycle, which included a grand slam for Oakland.
