Monday, 7/22
7/22/2012: Miguel Cabrera’s second homer of the game was the 300th of his MLB career. He hit a few more along the way before retiring, as well.
7/22/2004: Ruben Sierra broke a scoreless tie between the Yankees and Blue Jays.
7/22/2006: Julio Lugo enjoyed a two-homer day for the Devil Rays.
Tuesday, 7/23
7/23/2002: Nomar Garciaparra celebrated his 29th birthday by slugging three homers, one of which was a grand slam.
7/23/2006: Adrian Beltre hit an inside-the-park home run.
7/23/2019: Trea Turner completed his second career cycle.
Wednesday, 7/24
7/24/1979: Carl Yastrzemski hit the 400th home run of his MLB career. He’d finish with 452 dingers before hanging up his spikes.
7/24/1973: Johnny Bench hit an All-Star Game home run.
7/24/2001: Juan Encarnacion went deep for the Tigers at old Yankee Stadium.
Thursday, 7/25
7/25/1985: Gary Carter got people jacked up at Shea Stadium with this three-run homer off Mike Scott. This might also be one of the most forceful high-fives I’ve ever seen.
7/25/2004: Justin Morneau visited Eutaw Street thanks to a three-run homer.
7/25/2009: Troy Tulowitzki showed off some oppo-taco power.
Friday, 7/26
7/26/2012: Starling Marte went deep for the #Pirates on the first pitch he saw in the big leagues. He did it while leading off Pittsburgh’s matchup against the Astros.
7/26/2002: Carl Everett homered twice in the seventh inning for the Rangers.
7/26/2020: Nelson Cruz collected four hits and seven RBI for the Twins.
Saturday, 7/27
7/27/1993: This grand slam from Ken Griffey Jr. was the seventh straight game he hit a home run. He’d go on to tie the MLB record with going deep in eight straight.
7/27/2009: Josh Willingham became the 13th in MLB history to hit two grand slams in one game.
7/27/2015: Welington Castillo unleashed a beautiful KBO-style bat flip.
Sunday, 7/28
7/28/2001: The Pirates erased a six-run deficit in the ninth to beat the Astros. It was punctuated by this Brian Giles walk-off grand slam.
7/28/1996: Darryl Strawberry’s 300th career homer came in walk-off fashion.
7/28/2012: Ike Davis enjoyed a three-homer day for the Mets.
